Where We Meet

Areas Served

There is one office, in Southwest Austin, and two other ways to meet: outdoors on a walk-and-talk session, or by secure video from anywhere in Texas. Sessions are available in English and Spanish.

One office, in Southwest Austin

My office is at 5900 Southwest Pkwy, Building 5, Suite 230, Austin, TX 78735, on the Southwest Parkway corridor. In-person sessions are on Fridays, and some select other times and days as schedules allow. Friday appointments fill first. To say it plainly: this is the only office, not one in each neighborhood. Nearby communities include the ones listed below, and several have their own page explaining how in-person, outdoor and online sessions might fit your week. Wherever you start from, the Southwest Austin office is the same room.

  • Travis Country
  • Oak Hill
  • Sunset Valley
  • Barton Creek and Lost Creek
  • West Lake Hills and Rollingwood
  • Bee Cave
  • Lakeway

Walk-and-talk sessions outdoors

Some conversations come easier side by side than face to face. A walk-and-talk session is a full session held outdoors, walking a quiet route together at a pace that suits you. Before the first walk, we discuss the limits of confidentiality in detail and agree in advance what to do if we pass someone you know. Weather, mobility and privacy all factor into whether it fits, and you can move back indoors or online any week. Walk-and-talk is not suitable for couples counseling.

Telehealth anywhere in Texas

Therapy with me is Texas only, and telehealth carries it across the whole state. Whether you are in Houston, Dallas, San Antonio or anywhere else in Texas, sessions happen over secure video, and you need to be located in Texas during each session. Online therapy across Texas uses the same free consultation and the same fees as the office. If you would rather do this work in Spanish, start with the page on terapia en español.

Choosing how to meet

Where you meet is part of the work, not an administrative detail. A familiar room can be steadying. A walk can make a hard subject easier to reach. A session from home can be what makes therapy possible on a week when leaving the house is the hardest part. You can mix formats as life and weather allow, and we sort out the starting point together on the free 15-minute consultation, along with cost and scheduling. You do not need a diagnosis to start, only a few honest sentences about what has been hardest.

Common Questions

Is there an office in each of these communities?

No. There is one office, at 5900 Southwest Pkwy, Building 5, Suite 230, in Southwest Austin. In-person sessions happen there on Fridays and some select other times and days as schedules allow, and telehealth reaches the rest of Texas.

Can I work with you if I live outside Austin?

Yes, as long as you are in Texas. Telehealth reaches anywhere in the state by secure video, and you need to be located in Texas during each session. Sessions are available in English or Spanish.

The consultation is free and there is no obligation on either side.
