Therapy Intensives

Focused Time for Work That Needs Momentum

An intensive is concentrated therapy over one to three days instead of one session each week. It creates room to stay with the work without rushing toward the end of an appointment.

What an Intensive Is

More room, not more pressure

Weekly therapy is a good fit logistically for many people. It can also make sense if you are traveling to Austin or cannot sustain a weekly schedule. Longer does not mean forced; safety, consent, and your capacity still guide the day.

An intensive is another option: several hours of supported work in one day, or across two or three days, with breaks and pacing built in.

It can also suit eating-disorder, trauma, and family work where stopping every 50 minutes interrupts momentum.

When Your Struggles Feel Like They're Taking Over

Do you feel like your thoughts about food, body image, exercise, trauma, or emotional pain are eclipsing everything in your life? Or the relational dynamic feels stuck, and 50-80 minute weekly therapy is just not cutting it? Perhaps intrusive or obsessive thoughts, difficult emotions, or destructive patterns are making it impossible to be fully present in your day-to-day life.

Or are you at the point of even considering Residential Treatment, PHP, or IOP, but feel overwhelmed by the logistics and the thought of stepping away from your work, school, family, or social life? A therapy intensive provides an opportunity to step out of your usual routine and devote focused time to the concerns that have been keeping you stuck. Rather than spreading therapy out over weeks or months, an intensive allows us to work together more deeply and intentionally over a concentrated period of time. Think of it as a therapeutic reset, a chance to slow down, gain perspective, learn practical skills, and begin disrupting patterns that may have been controlling your life.

You don't have to wait until things become unmanageable to seek more support. A therapy intensive may be a meaningful first step toward creating change without taking weeks or multiple days a week for consistent months, away from your life and consequentially allowing you to remain connected to the people, responsibilities, and routines that matter to you.
