Telehealth for San Antonio

Online Therapy for San Antonio

Whether you have served, love someone who serves, or answer emergency calls yourself, secure video lets you work with me from anywhere in San Antonio. Sessions are in English or Spanish, at a pace your nervous system can keep, with faith included only if you want it.

For Veterans and First Responders

In a city with a deep military presence, service is part of everyday life. If you have served, or if you work as a first responder, you may carry what you have seen long after the shift or the service ends. I offer trauma-informed care that respects what you have seen, goes at your pace and your ability to talk about it, and helps you find a new integrated normal back home. You decide how much to say and when. Trauma work does not depend on retelling everything, and the page on therapy for veterans and first responders explains more.

When You Are the Spouse Holding the Home Front

If you are a military spouse, you may know a particular kind of load: moves, long separations, homecomings that are harder than anyone expected, and the mental load of running a household alone for stretches of time. It can show up as anxiety, a short fuse, a marriage that feels out of sync, or difficulty adjusting each time life changes shape. These are part of the work I do around life transitions, relationships and anxiety. You do not need a diagnosis to start, and you do not have to wait until things fall apart.

Faith, Only If You Want It

San Antonio has strong faith communities, and faith may be central to how you make sense of hardship. If it is, we can bring it into the room. I am seminary trained, and Christian and Biblical counseling are available when you ask for them, including questions of anger, forgiveness and reconciliation. If faith feels complicated right now, or church has been a place of hurt, that is welcome here too, and so is leaving faith outside the room entirely. It is never assumed or introduced without your say-so. Read more about Christian counseling if that is what you are looking for.

Spanish at Home, Spanish in Session

For Spanish-speaking families, sessions are available entirely in Spanish, by secure video anywhere in Texas. Some feelings arrive in the language you grew up with, and you should not have to stop mid-sentence to find the English word for grief or shame. If you or someone in your family prefers Spanish, say so on the consultation. The page on terapia en español is written in Spanish and covers fees, formats and what I work with.

A Pace Your Nervous System Can Keep

With trauma, the order matters. Before we go anywhere difficult, we build enough steadiness for you to stay present, and Seeking Safety ideas help when trauma and unsafe coping have become intertwined. Trauma-informed means the pace belongs to you: we move as fast as your nervous system allows and as slow as your story requires, and you can say no to a topic without anything bad happening. When you are ready, Trauma-Focused CBT gives us a structured way to work with what happened. I hold a certification in TF-CBT and a certification in Seeking Safety.

Practical Details for San Antonio

There is no San Antonio office. My only office is in Southwest Austin, and San Antonio sessions happen over secure video while you are located in Texas. This is a self-pay practice. Individual sessions are $190 for 50 minutes or $275 for 80 minutes, and couples sessions are $215 for 50 minutes or $300 for 80 minutes. Monthly superbills are available for possible out-of-network reimbursement. If you ever want to come up to Austin, a Friday session at the office or a trauma healing intensive can become part of the mix.

Common Questions

Do you work with military spouses?

Yes. The strain of moves, separations and homecomings can show up as anxiety, relationship difficulties or trouble adjusting, and those are all part of what I work with. You do not need a diagnosis to start.

Will faith come up if I do not want it to?

No. Faith is part of therapy only when you want it, and it is never assumed or introduced without your say-so. If you do want it, Christian and Biblical counseling are available on request.

Can my spouse and I meet together by video?

Yes. Couples sessions can happen by telehealth as long as you are both located in Texas during the session. They are $215 for 50 minutes or $300 for 80 minutes.

The consultation is free and there is no obligation on either side.
